Second Caravan and Campsite Available for UnstFest 2015With Gardiesfauld Youth Hostel's caravan bays full up for the festival, we have arranged for a second caravan and campsite to be available for our festival. The site is located in Baltasound, and is free to use on a first come first serve basis. Facilities are extremely limited, and a number of rules apply. Please visit our facebook page for more information. Gardiesfauld currently have a number of spaces available indoors for the festival, so grab your space now will full access to facilities before they're gone!
New 2015 event: Afternoon Gin Tea PartyWhat's a Thursday afternoon at UnstFest without a little AFTERNOON GIN TEA PARTY!
On Thursday 16th July Saxa Vord Resort will be hosting a jolly afternoon out with a little help from Shetland Reel Gin. A little twist to the usual tea party with a cocktail on arrival, cuppa tea, 'gin'pot and nibbles! Non-alcoholic tea party will also available. |
Scotland's 'Rhythmnreel' for UnstFest Weekend FinaleHaving played at Belladrum Festival and Ironworks Hogmany, rhythmreel are making the journey to Shetland to bring the house down in Unst. With their celtic rock and modern cover songs, this event is expected to reach max capacity on Saturday 18th July.

We have a number of exciting opportunities available for anyone who would like to work with a production company at this years festival. The production, called DRIFT, is taking place on Unst from 8th - 13th July. You can participate for one, two or all 6 days. If you are interested in getting involved please email us info@unstfest.org so we can give you some more information and pass you on to the production company's event manager.

Time to raid the wardrobes! The ever popular swap shop will be back for our 2015 festival. We're now looking for all your unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories to sort prior to the event. Drop off points available across Shetland thanks to some kind helpers:

The Revellers will be jumping in their wagon and making the journey North to the festival to kick off this years festival with a bang. On the 11th July, the footstomping band will be performing in the North Unst Public Hall. Having put the venue at maximum capacity last year, this year is looking no different. Don't miss out!

Get the floats ready! The popular summer carnival is back for 2015, taking place on Saturday 18th July. Up Helly Aa Vikings, walkers and exciting floats will be making the journey around Unst before ending up at Baltasound Hall before rhythmnreel take to the stage.

UnstFest looks set to be two of Shetland's biggest summer music weekends. The 11th July sees The Revellers make a famous return to sell out more venues, and the finale weekend on the 18th July be met with one of Scotland's top Celtic rock bands rhythmnreel. Get those holidays booked.
